Your Complete Guide To The eVysor Equine Goggles

eQuick's eVysor Equine Goggles offer unmatched 360° UV protection and clarity for sensitive eyes.

Why use eVysor?

Harsh rays from the sun can damage and irritate your horse's eyes, especially those experiencing eye discomfort caused by wind or insects, as well as horses recovering from eye surgery or procedures around the eye area.

The eVysor ensures superior protection from the elements, enhancing your horse’s performance and comfort. They are engineered to deliver exceptional UV protection, shielding your horse’s eyes from the harsh rays of the sun. This protection helps to prevent eye sensitivity and discomfort, ensuring your horse remains focused and comfortable. Additionally, the eVysor protects against injuries caused by dust, debris, branches and wind, making it an indispensable accessory for any rider.

Which goggles are right for my horse?

As every horse is different, we offer six lens filter options, ranging from transparent to very dark.

Our transparent lenses are ideal for horses with irritated eyes that are not sensitive to light, or for riding in low-light conditions. At the other end of the range, our darkest lenses are designed for extremely bright environments or for horses with significant light sensitivity.

Between these options, we offer several filters with various grades, allowing you to choose the most suitable level of protection for your horse's individual needs.

If your horse's eye condition is caused by a medical issue, such as uveitis, we strongly recommend consulting your veterinarian to determine which lens option is most appropriate.

Here is a breakdown of each filter in order from lightest to darkest:

Transparent:

Ideal for low light environments such as indoor arenas, cloudy days or dawn/dusk riding. Features a 98.08% luminous transmittance with a Filter Category 0 rating.

Mirrored Orange:

Ideal for days with softer or limited sunlight. Features a 46.28% luminous transmittance with a Filter Category 1 rating.

Mirrored Blue:

Ideal for horses that spend time outdoors in moderate sunlight conditions. Features a 42.63% luminous transmittance and Filter Category 2 rating.

Mirrored Green:

Ideal for everyday outdoor use in moderate sunlight. Features a 38.41% luminous transmittance with a Filter Category 2 rating.

Mirrored Rainbow:

These goggles offer strong UV protection to help reduce the risk of sun-related eye damage. Features 19.85% luminous transmittance with a Filter Category 2 rating.

Darker:

Specifically developed for bright sunlight and intense outdoor conditions. Features a 10.45% luminous transmittance and Filter Category 3 rating.

Important to add...

The goggles are specifically designed for supervised use while riding. With unsupervised use, the mask may shift if your horse rubs their face or if it becomes caught on an object. This could cause the eVysor to become displaced or come off entirely.

What are eQuick eVysor Equine Goggles?

The eQuick eVysor is a revolutionary product for horses with eye issues, offering 360 degree protection from UV rays, wind, dust, sand and other external factors.

Why would my horse need equine goggles?

They help to protect the eyes from dirt, stones and other flying debris, making them especially useful during faster ridden work.

Horses experiencing eye discomfort caused by wind or insects, as well as horses recovering from eye surgery or procedures around the eye area can benefit from the goggles.

Do all eVysor lenses provide UV protection?

Yes, all lenses deliver exceptional UV protection.

Which eVysor lens is right for my horse?

Will my horse be able to see clearly through the lenses?

When used correctly, yes. We wouldn't recommend using Green, Rainbow or Darker goggles in lower-light conditions as the filters are strong.

How should I care for and clean my eVysor?

To clean your eVysor, we recommend using warm, soapy water and a soft microfibre cloth. Take care not to scratch the lenses, as this may affect their performance and clarity.

When not in use, always store your eVysor in the protective bag provided to help keep the lenses clean and protected.

What do the different filter categories mean?

The filter categories refer to the strength of the lens. The higher the filter category, the less light the lenses allow to pass through.

Can my horse wear eVysors in the field?

We would not recommend using the goggles for turnout. They are specifically designed for supervised use while riding. With unsupervised use, the mask may shift if your horse rubs their face or if it becomes caught on an object. This could cause the eVysor to become displaced or come off entirely.

Can I replace the lenses

Yes, the lenses can be replaced. We don't sell replacement lenses, but you can purchase lens kits direct from the eQuick website.
