Beris Cheltenham Gag

This Beris Cheltenham Gag has a supple, flexible mullen mouthpiece combined with a running gag to give extra control.

Mullen Mouthpiece

The mullen mouthpiece is a very mild unvarying mouthpiece that puts pressure on the tongue and lips, as well as slight pressure on the bars depending on the size of the horse's tongue.

This bit is often useful for horses with a very soft mouth who don't like complicated mouthpieces.

The mouthpiece has a gradual transition to the rings to help prevent pinching.

Cheltenham Gag

The running gag causes a tipping effect of the bit while moving the mouthpiece back to the edge of the mouth. This gives a stronger effect on the lips and tongue.

The Cheltenham gag is often useful for adding brakes, and works well for horses that tend to lean on the bit or fall on the forehand.

The Beris Cheltenham Gag is available in 13cm or 14cm, in Soft or Hard densities.
